Day 11: One thing you liked/hated about Water 7 (or Alabasta) | The importance of nakama and the sub-par villains
Considering I found Water 7 flawless, I decided to do this one on Alabasta. I really, really loved how the importance of crewmates, friends, nakama, started to come widely into play. This arc was totally playing on how you can’t do things all alone sometimes, and how you need to trust in the people who say they are going to look out for you, and that hits hard with me for several reasons.
What I didn’t like much about Alabasta were the villains. They just didn’t seem up to par with other villains. I wasn’t too fond of any of them. I only liked most of the Baroque Works members after they played other roles in future arcs.
